Nolan has been following the Lee athletic teams since he was a student and has not missed many Vikings or Flames game since 1969. The 1973 Lee College graduate says he has always loved sports. A former high school coach, Nolan was at Tennessee Temple in 1973 when the Vikings won the NCCAA National Title. He was in Marion, IN when the Flames won still another NCCAA National crown in 1994. Of course he was at Walker Arena last season (2001) when the Flames won their first TranSouth Conference championship and made their first trip to the NAIA National Tournament. Not only is Nolan a fan, he also is his own personal statistician. He has records, media guides and notes on most every men’s basketball player who appeared for the Vikings and Flames over the past 32 years.
