Paul Duncan not only wore many hats during his tenure as an instructor and administrator at Lee College, he also enjoyed his role as a tennis coach and was a loyal supporter of the Lee College Vikings. Paul Duncan never missed a home basketball game for 16 years and was at every contest against heated rival Tennessee Temple University during that same period. Along with Dr. Paul Conn, Duncan helped form Lee’s first tennis teams from 1994-1996 and was the tennis coach. He served as Interim Athletic Director from 1995-1996 and a member of the Lee Athletic Committee for over 10 years. He served Lee as an Assistant Professor of Behavior Science from 1970-1986 and was Dean of Students from 1971-1986.
After leaving Lee, Duncan was the First Assistant Director of the Department of Benevolence in Sevierville, TN from 1986-1994. He became the Director of the Smokey Mountain Children’s Home if Sevierville in 1994 and served until 2004. He and his wife Tannis have two children, Angela Duncan Rodgers and Eric Duncan. All are graduates of Lee.
