From 1988-2021, Phil Cook has been blessed with the special talent of not only igniting the true spirit of the Flames’ fans and supporters, but in touching the everyday lives of thousands of Lee students from every walk of life.
Cook wasted no time in getting involved in Alpha Gamma Chi, Sigma Nu Sigma, Phi Beta Lambda and the Academic Quiz Bowl Team. He was active in Intramurals and served as a referee for four years and announced championship games.
His loud, demanding voice rang out at Lee sporting events for 30 years. Basketball was his primary sport, but he has also announced soccer, volleyball and baseball.
He wore many hats over 30 years, including Director of Admissions, Assistant Vice President for Enrollment and Vice President for Enrollment. His accomplishments are clearly marked with 28 consecutive years of increased enrollment under this watch.
