Lee University Athletics

Pop Muncy, as he was affectionately known, was a true Viking supporter. He was the designated driver of the “Viking Vehicle” to most of the away games during the 60’s and was a team favorite.  He and his wife were cooks at Lee and prepared the pregame meals for the team which were always special. According to Coach Hughes, there was no greater supporter of the Viking program during this time than Pop Muncy.
