Kinsey Cichowitz has been named the Lee University Female Athlete of the Week after scoring the lone goal in the Lady Flames' 1-0 victory over Shorter University last Friday night.

Cichowitz recorded her team-leading sixth goal of the season in the 75th minute of the match to secure Lee a 10-1 mark and first place finish in the Gulf South Conference regular season standings. The Lady Flames are one year away from being officially eligible for postseason play per NCAA rules.

The sophomore midfielder has delivered all year for coach Matt Yelton. Cichowitz has six goals and five assists while starting all 16 matches.

"Kinsey has been very good all year and to see her get the goal was a reward for her work," noted Yelton. 

The Lady Flames will get a few weeks off to rest up and will await the pairings to be released for the National Christian College Athletic Association Mid-East Region Tournament on Nov. 21.
