Freshman Shelby Brown has been named Lee University' Female Athlete of the Week.

Brown started the week with 17 points and nine boards as the Lady Flames fell 65-62 to Valdosta State on Wednesday.

Brown added six points and eight rebounds in Saturday's loss at West Florida. The Goodletsville native leads the team with 53 boards averging 7.6 per contest.

Brown and the Lady Flames will finish out 2014 with home dates against North Alabama and Alabama-Huntsville. Lee tangles with Lions on Thursday at 8 p.m. before battling the Chargers at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
