Jervon Johnson as been named Lee University's Male Athlete of the Week. 

The sophomore guard hit seven 3's in Monday's nailbiter at Mississippi College. Johnson finished with 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting from beyond the arc to lead all-scorers as the Flames fell 73-72 to the Choctaws on Monday evening. 

"When Jervon gets hot the rim can begin to look pretty big for him," said head coach Tommy Brown. 

The Chattanooga native is averaging 7.9 points-per-game and hitting a sizzling 54.3 percent from 3-point distance on the year.

Johnson and the Flames will travel to Rome, Ga. on Thursday to square off with rival Shorter University at 8 p.m.
