Irene Ojuwku was named the SSAC Volleyball Player of the Year for 2012. The junior outside hitter led Lee to a 30-11 record and a conference tournament title.

The San Paulo, Brazil native was also honored as a NAIA Second Team All- American. Ojuwku finished the year No. 17 in the NAIA in kills with 517.

The Lady Flames finished the year ranked No. 9 in the NAIA.
