Point guard CJ Reese has been named the Lee University Male Athlete of the Week after leading the Flames (2-3) to a split in two games this past weekend.

Reese scored 18 points on 7 of 8 shooting from the field in the Flames' 101-96 victory over Coastal Georgia in the Valdosta State Thanksgiving Classic on Friday. 

The sophomore from College Park, Ga. added 21 points and once again was nearly perfect from the field, hitting 9 of 10 to lead the Lee offensive in a 68-66 loss to Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday. 

Reese leads the team with 17.6 points per game and is shooting a sizzling 79.1 percent from the field. He and the Flames will hit the road to open up Gulf South Conference play this week. Lee battles Christian Brothers on Thursday in Memphis and then travels up the road to tangle with rival Union in Jackson on Saturday.
