Senior Kayla Beavers has been named the Lee University Female Athlete of the Week. 

The sharpshooting senior scored 15 points, hitting 5 of 9 from the 3-point line to help guide the Lady Flames to a 67-52 road victory over conference foe West Georgia on Saturday afternoon.

Beavers is averaging 7.5 points per game and is shooting 37.1 percent from behind the arc this season.

Beavers and the Lady Flames have now won six straight GSC contests and are tied for first place with No. 22 Delta State. The two clubs will square off on Saturday afternoon at Walker Arena at 2 p.m.
