Freshman Anna Woodford has been named the Lee University Female Athlete of the Week.

Woodford scored 12 points in the Lady Flames' double-overtime loss to West Florida in Pensacola last Thursday.

On Saturday, the Knoxville native scored 11 points and grabbed four rebounds as Lee defeated Valdosta State, 54-46. 

Woodford is averaging eight points and four rebounds per contest this season while playing 22. 5 mintues per game.

The Lady Flames are currently 14-6 overall and 11-4 in the Gulf South Conference. Woodford and Lee will come back home for a four-game homestand beginning on Thursday at 6 p.m. against Alabama-Huntsville.
