Karsten Strieby was named Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Baseball Player of the Week. The corner infielder's hot bat guided the Flames to a 5-0 week, including a sweep of conference rival Auburn Montgomery last weekend at Butler Field.

The native of Brier, Wash. hit safely in all five games, finishing the week with a .526 average, nine RBI and a home run. The junior transfer is hitting .438 on the year and has a slugging percentage of .737.

Strieby and the Flames are currently ranked third in the NAIA and  will travel to Milligan College on Wednesday for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. This weekend Lee will head down to Jackson, Miss. for a weekend SSAC battle with Belhaven.
