Women's tennis player Marta Garcia-Nieto has been named the Lee University Female Athlete of the Week.

The sophomore helped Lee top Southwest Minnesota State from Orlando, Fla., 9-0 on Sunday with a, 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 2 singles and a 8-0 victory with Francesa Tondi at No. 1 doubles.

Garica-Nieto and the Lady Flames recorded two more victories on Monday against Sioux Falls (7-2) and University of the Sciences (8-1). The native of Barcelona, Spain won both singles matches and swept both doubles contests teaming with Tondi. 

The Lady Flames will wrap up their Spring Break trip in Florida on Wednesday with matches against St. Cloud University and Alderson Broaddus University. Lee is currently 10-5 on the season.
