Men's basketball senior Rico Overall has been named the Lee University Male Athlete of the Week after leading the Flames to a dominating 86-70 victory over rival Shorter University to open up Gulf South Conference play.

Overall scored a team-high 19 points and dished off three assists in the contest. In 31 minutes of action on teh court the senior point guard committed just one turnover and also grabbed four rebounds.

The native of Kennesaw, Ga. is averaging 14.2 points per game and is shooting 41 percent from the field on the year.

Overall and the Flames will jump back into conference play with a pair of home dates to finish off the pre-Christmas schedule. Lee hosts Mississippi College on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 8 p.m. before welcoming Delta State to town on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 4 p.m.
