Lee softball freshman Taylor Moran has been the Lee University Female Athlete of the Week after helping the softball team start off the season at 4-2 last week.
Moran hit the first home run of the year for the Lady Flames in Wednesday's victory over Montevallo. The Chattanooga native and product of Silverdale Baptist Academy, also made her presence felt in the circle. Moran worked six innings and allowed just two hits while striking out seven to earn a save and victory last week.
Moran saved the game one win over Montevallo on Wednesday and was credited with the save in the nightcap against the Falcons.
The Lady Flames will host Tennessee Wesleyan on Wednesday at 2 and 4:30 p.m. before heading back on the road to Montevallo for the Falcon Frenzy. Lee will play Tuskegee (10 a.m.) and Mobile (9:15 p.m.) on Saturday and Urusline (12:15 p.m.) and U of Indy (4:45) on Sunday.Â
