Lee softball standout Stevie Baird has been named the Lee University Female Athlete of the Week after a record setting performance over the weekend at Christian Brothers.

Baird became the first Lady Flame to hit two grand slams in one game on Saturday as she finished 3 for 3 with eight RBI in Lee's 12-4 victory over the Lady Bucs to seal a three-game sweep.

On the week the sophomore third baseman finished with a .545 average, two home runs, one double, nine RBI and five runs scored. She slugged 1.182 and had a .643 on base percentage.

Baird and the Lady Flames were 4-1 on the week. They split a doubleheader at Young Harris College on Tuesday before sweeping Christian Brothers on Friday and Saturday.

The Lady Flames are currently 32-13 overall and are 18-9 and tied for second in the Gulf South Conference with just six games remaining. 

Up next for the Lady Flames is their final home series of the season as they welcome rival Mississippi College to town on Saturday.
