BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Lee softball freshman Taylor Moran has been named the Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week the conference office announced on Tuesday.
The pitcher from Chattanooga tossed 10 innings this week including a complete game shutout over rival Mississippi College on Monday. Moran allowed just three hits to improve to 11-4 on the season in the circle. She currently leads the GSC with a 1.21 ERA and is first in saves with six.
Moran and the Lady Flames will gear up for their final regular season series as they travel to No. 12 West Florida on Saturday. Lee is currently 33-14 overall and 19-9 in the GSC. The Lady Flames have already punched their ticket to the conference tournament which is scheduled to begin on May 4.
