Senior forward Summer Lanter has been named the Lee University Female Athlete of the Week after leading the No. 23 Lady Flames to a 3-2 victory over West Florida with two goals and an assist.

Lanter scored her GSC leading fifth game winning goal and now leads the league in total scores with eight. The Soddy Daisy, Tenn. native headed home the second Lady Flames goal off a cross from Riley Engels in the 24^th minute to knot things up at 2-2.

Engels would team up with Lanter to get Lee on the board before many of the fans had found a comfortable seat. Engels received a pass from the senior forward and smoked a shot into the far left corner of the goal to give the home team the early advantage at the 2:08 mark.

Lanter and the Lady Flames will now gear up for a visit to Auburn Montgomery on Friday at 6 p.m. before testing Montevallo on Sunday at 2 p.m. Lee returns home for the annual Kickin It For Kid's With Cancer Match on Friday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. against UAH.
