Lee men's soccer defender Samir Williams has been named to the Gulf South Conference Second Team after helping to lead the Flames to the fourth lowest opponents scoring average in the league.
Williams partnered with goalkeeper Tristen Putnam to help post six shutouts this season for the Flames.
"I'm thrilled for Samir. He really blossomed last spring and I was looking forward to his impact this year," said head coach Derek Potteiger. "I thought defensively we were pretty good this year and he was a major reason for that. I'm looking forward to his continued growth and his ability to lead from the back."
