BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Senior defender Jake Brown has been named to the All-GSC First Team the league office announced on Monday.

Brown helped lead a back line for the Flames that allowed the fewest goals (16) in the GSC this season. Brown has been a four-year starter and will look to guide the Flames to their first GSC postseason victory when they travel to Memphis to take on Christian Brothers in the quarterfinal round on Tuesday.

Brown was joined on the first team by goalkeeper Daniel Hrenko and fellow defender Samir Williams. Jose Orellana was voted to the GSC Second Team.

“I’m happy for these players that got identified and believe they have all had really good seasons and obviously were noticed by the coaches around the league,” said Lee head coach Derek Potteiger. “I have always thought though, these are in reality more team awards than individual awards, as it is first and foremost a statement of our collective quality that allows certain individuals to showcase their specific talent.”
