Summer Lanter has been named Lee University's Female Athlete of the Week after leading the women's soccer team to consecutive Gulf South Conference (GSC) victories last week.

Lanter tallied two goals in Lee's 3-0 shutout of West Georgia last Wednesday. The freshman forward from Soddy Daisy, Tenn. continued her stellar week of play adding a goal and an assist as Lee blanked 21st ranked Valdosta State on Saturday, 3-0.

The Lady Flames now sit at 6-2 overall and remain unbeaten (3-0) in the GSC. Lee will now head to Pensacola, Fla. to matchup with GSC perennial power and 8th ranked West Florida on Friday. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m.
