Jenna Adams has been named Lee University's Female Athlete of the Week after guiding the Lady Flames to a 2-1 week in Gulf South Conference play.

The week began with an old rival Union University. Adams tallied 21 points, including the game-winner with three seconds remaining, to give the Lady Flames the hard-fought road victory, 68-66. The forward would complete the double-double performance with 10 rebounds.

On Thursday, Adams and Lee faced its toughest test of the year welcoming No. 9 Delta State to Walker Arena. Adams nearly missed another double-double with 17 points and nine boards. The Lady Flames fell 71-64.

The tough stretch wrapped up on Saturday with an afternoon matchup with Christian Brothers (Memphis). Adams scored a season-high 28 points while pulling down 13 rebounds in Lee's 66-40 blowout of CBU. The Englewood native was 9-of-15 from the field and 3-of-6 from behind the arc.

Adams and the Lady Flames will head on the road to test West Alabama and Alabama-Huntsville this week. Lee will battle the Tigers Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and test the Chargers Saturday at 4 p.m.
