Jamal Worthington has been named Lee University's Male Athlete of the Week.

Worthington saw extended minutes over the Flames' three contests. On Monday the freshman scored a career-high 14 points in Lee's 69-66 loss at Union. Worthington was 6-of-13 from the field in the game.

On Thursday the Flames returned home to battle the leaders in the GSC Delta State. Worthington scored six points and added four rebounds in the home defeat.

The week wrapped up with a 74-67 los to Christian Brothers (Memphis) on Saturday. Worthington tallied 12 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field. The athletic wing player pulled down four rebounds.

Worthington and the Flames will head on the road this week as they travel to Livingston, Ala. to battle West Alabama on Thursday before battling Alabama-Huntsville on Saturday.
