Leah Fortune was awarded the SSAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honor for her play in this weekend’s Lady Flames Classic.

The Chicago, Ill. native scored two goals in giving the Lady Flames a huge 3-2 overtime victory over No. 2 Lindsey Wilson on Thursday evening.

Fortune, who is a junior midfielder for the Lady Flames, also helped lead the team to a 1-0 victory over Olivet Nazarene on Saturday.

Fortune and the Lady Flames will enter conference play this weekend as they host Spring Hill, Friday at 7:30.
