Lee University right-handed pitcher Nikolay Uherek has been named National Christian College Athletic Association Student-Athlete of the Week after helping to lead the Flames to a win at Union University last Saturday.

Uherek was dominate in his only appearance last weekend. The junior-transfer from Georgia Perimeter College gave up just five hits and one unearned run over seven innings of work in Lee's 4-1 victory over the Bulldogs. Uherek struck out 13 batters in the contest and has now fanned 24 batters in just 17 innings of work. The righty has yet to give up an earned run this season.

Uherek is a native of Huntingtown, Md. and is studying Healthcare Administration at Lee.
