Jeremy Stawychny has been named Lee University's Male Athlete of the Week after guiding the Lee baseball team to a victory over West Georgia on Saturday with a dominating performance on the mound.

The senior pitched a complete game four-hitter in Saturday's 7-1 GSC-victory over the Wolves. Stawychny surrendered just one run while striking out eight and did not walk a batter.

"Stawychny did an excellent job limiting the damage in the first inning only allowing one run and then really settled down and threw great the rest of the game," said head coach Mark Brew.

On the season the Chicago, Ill. native is 3-2 with a 2.67 ERA. Stawychny has struck out 30 batters in 30 1/3 innings of work.

The Flames will welcome Campbellsville (Ky.) to town on Tuesday and Wednesday (Mar. 4-5) for two non-conference games before jumping back into GSC play with a weekend series against West Alabama at Olympic Field. The three-game set begins with a doubleheader Saturday starting at 2 p.m.
