Josh Silver has been named Lee University's Male Athlete of the Week after being named to the NCCAA World Series All-Tournament team last weekend.

The senior shortstop went 7-for-20 (.350) in the six games in Mason, Ohio to help lead the Flames to a second-place finish. Silver belted two home runs, scored four runs and drove in seven.

The Elk Grove, Calif. native hit .263 for the season with 23 RBI and three homers. Silver and the Flames finished their first season of NCAA Division II and Gulf South Conference play with a 37-19 mark overall. Lee finished fourth in conference with a 15-12 record.
