Ana Coscorrosa has been named Lee University's Female Athlete of the Week after wrapping up her stellar softball career for the Lady Flames.

Coscorrosa has received numerous postseason honors including being named National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Player of the Year and NFCA NCAA Division II South Region First Team member. Coscorrosa was also named NCCAA Mid-East Region Player of the Year after  the Lady Flames concluded play with a runner-up finish in the region tournament last weekend in Clinton, Miss.

The senior from Zulia, Venezuela  capped her incredible four-year career as a Lady Flame in grand style during the 2014 campaign. The lefty led the team in batting average (.471) homers (10), and RBI (73). The versatile Coscorrosa played both catcher and first base for Head Coach Emily Russell

Coscorrosa would finish her four-year career with school records in three offensive categories including batting average (.451), RBI (231) and hits (275).

The Lady Flames finished 25-24 in their first season of play in NCAA Division II. Lee would finish with a 13-14 mark in the softball-rich Gulf South Conference.
