Women's Soccer Seeking To Record Another First

After Four NAIA National Titles, Lee Seeks First NCCAA Crown

Final matches for seniors on Lee Soccer Field

The Lady Flames welcome Mississippi College, Union University and the University of Campbellsville to the Lee Soccer Field and the NCCAA Mid-East Region. The winner of the two-day event will earn an automatic bid to the NCCAA National Championship in Kissimmee, Fla. on Dec. 2-7.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
The Lady Flames will open the tournament on Friday at 1 p.m. against Union University. Mississippi College and the University of Campbellsville will meet in the other semifinal match at 4 p.m. The championship match will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m.

COACH YELTON COMMENTS ABOUT REGION
"We are looking forward to getting back to playing after an 18-day break, but we know that we will have to shake the rust off quickly and get prepared to take this first step in post-season.

"I've been thrilled with the progress we have made this year and our leadership has been a big part of that. Our upperclassmen have certainly taken on a big role in that they do the right things on a daily basis and that feeds through the rest of the team. We have a great opportunity to produce something special this coming weekend as we host our first- ever NCCAA Regional Tournament.

"We have seen Union before and we had one of our better outings of the year against them, and will need another good performance to move on to Saturday's game."

ALL FOUR TEAMS BOAST WINNING RECORD
It could be arguably said that the Mid-East Region could be the NCCAA's toughest. All four teams (Lee 12-3-1), Mississippi College (13-6-0), Campbellsville (11-5-1) and Union (7-6-3) all bring winning record into the tournament. The Lady Flames have been ranked No. 1 in the NCCAA poll for the majority of the season.

FINAL HOME GAMES FOR LEE SENIORS
It has been a great run for seven Lee seniors. They have been a part of two NAIA national championship teams and would like to add an NCCAA banner to their collection. Liz Hagan, Charlotte Canlett, Leah Fortune, Ode Fulutudilu, Danielle Clabattone, Debbie Rogers and Lauren Welch will be playing their final one or two matches on the Lee Soccer Field.
