Flames Blank Stillman, 5-0

The Lee University men's tennis team improved to 4-1 with a 5-0 shutout of visiting Stillman College (1-3) at the DeVos Tennis Center. The Flames will return to Gulf South Conference action with a trip to Pensacola, Fla., to face No. 4 University of West Florida at 11 a.m. EST Saturday.

"I'm looking forward to get down to Pensacola and measuring our improvement against a top 10 program," said Lee head coach Patric Hynes.

The Flames swept the doubles matches to carry an early 3-0 lead. Karl Hulten and Charles Jabaley defeated Roosevelt White and Dean Kelly, 8-0. Rhys Milne teamed with Boyd Blackburn to win their No. 2 doubles match by the same score against Edward Symmonett and Yonwaba Pupuma. Eirik Groner and Jake Okines were 8-3 victors over Joan Bastian and Fernando Garcia.

Milne was a 6-1, 6-0 winner over Garcia at No. 3 singles. Groner secured the team win with a 6-1, 6-0 takedown of Pupuma.

Okines won his first set, 6-1, over Sanson and led 3-1 in the second set when the team match was secured. The individual match was left unfinished.
