The Lee University women's tennis team recorded its first win of the season with a 7-0 shutout of West Georgia in the team's Gulf South Conference opener Wednesday afternoon at the DeVos Tennis Center. The Lady Flames improved to 1-2 overall and 1-0 in GSC action. The Wolves dropped to 1-3, 0-3 GSC.

Micaela Belen Maiz and Larissa Wieser won 6-3 against Elle Jones and Perrine Blachon at No. 2 doubles to complete the sweep.

Lauren Trammell put the Lady Flames ahead 3-0 with a 6-2, 6-1 defeat of Katarina Karm. Belen Maiz dropped just two points in beating Menendez at No. 1 singles to clinch the team victory.

Ujdur was a 6-3, 6-2 winner against Jones. Sierra Donaldson held off Lewis in their first set 6-4 and completed the straight set win with a 6-0 second set margin. Hayden completed the team shut out with a 6-2, 6-1 No. 4 singles win over Blachon.
