BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Lee University women's soccer player Ellie Crisler was named the Gulf South Conference player of the week and freshman goalkeeper Josie Taylor was named defender of the week. Both Crisler and Taylor helped lead the Lady Flames to two wins over Mississippi College and Delta State.

Crisler scored two goals on seven shots this past week. She scored one goal in each game with the insurance goals both times. Crisler now has 10 goals on the season which is second best in all of NCAA Division 2 and tied for third best in all three divisions of the NCAA.

Taylor had back-to-back shutouts over the weekend racking up 11 saves. In the first game against Mississippi College, she stopped nine shots in the second half to help secure the win. SHe followed that performance up with two saves in the shutout win over DSU. Taylor has now been a part of four shutouts for the Lady Flames.

The Lady Flames will return to action on Friday as they will head to Carrollton, Ga. to take on the University of West Georgia at 5 PM.
