CLEVELAND, Tenn.- The Lee University Women's Tennis team fell to number ten ranked Auburn University at Montgomery in a Gulf South Conference competition Friday afternoon. With a final score of 5-2, it snapped a seven-game winning streak for Lee.
 
The Lady Flames' Ashleigh Simes defeated 11th ranked Estefania Garcia in their singles match 6-4, 6-1. However, the Warhawks were able to win their next five single matches.
 
Ana Villalvazo beat Maria Aguilo 1-6, 6-3, 6-4. Regina Urbiola knocked off Kanna Kobayakawa 6-3, 6-3 Nahia Izco defeated Maria Duarte 6-2, 6-0. Ane Ibarra won over Lizza Gnilozubova 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 and Sofia Neri beat Hayden Smith (LEE) 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 1-0 (10-6).
 
The Lady Flames dominated their doubles match by winning all three. Junior Ashleigh Simes and sophomore Maria Duarte defeated number 17^th ranked doubles team Estefania Garcia and Ane Ibarra 6-4. Lee's Maria Aguilo and Kanna Kobayakawa defeated Melissa Yakup Pour and Sofia Neri 6-4. Lizza Gnilozubova and Mirjana Ragastovac won their match over Warhawks' Nahia Izco and Ana Villalvazo 6-3.
 
The Lady Flames are set to take on University of Montevallo Sunday April 7^th at 1 PM. Senior Day will take place at 11:15 AM.
