GAINESVILLE, Ga. – The Lee University team will have to wait another day before teeing off in the first round of the 2024 NCAA Division II Men's Golf South/Southeast Regional. Heavy rain overnight and into the morning hours has delayed the opening round until Friday.
The teams will now play 36 continuous holes in a shotgun start format tomorrow (May 9) beginning at 8:30 a.m. The 54-hole tournament will still conclude on Saturday at Chattahoochee Golf Club. The top five finishing teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from the South/Southeast Regional will advance to the National Championship.
The National will be hosted May 21-25 at Orange County National Golf Center in Winter Garden, Fla. by Rollins College, and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission as part of the 2024 NCAA Division II Spring Sports Festival.
