The Lee University men's track & field team met four NCAA Division II Provisional marks this weekend at the Vanderbilt Invitational. The indoor meet was held Friday and Saturday at Vanderbilt's Multipurpose Facility.
Pierre Chauveau, Edimo Ninteretse and Tucker Wright recorded new provisional marks in the 3000-meter run, while Cameron Stine met the standard in the pentathlon.
In the 3000, Chauveau completed the race at 8:08.47 for ninth position. Ninteretse (8:10.71) was 12th and Wright (8:11.90) was right behind in 13th. Their times all beat the provisional-qualifying time of 8:12.89. Chauveau's time is 13th in DII so far this season, while Ninteretse is No. 16 and Wright's time is No. 23. Chris Ross was the fourth Lee runner to complete the distance. He finished 24th with a time of 8:18.31.
Stine recorded 4,764 points to win the heptathlon. He needed 4,749 points to meet the provisional mark.

Aria Hawkins and Liz Lannom each recorded new provisional marks. Hawkins met the standard in the mile and 800-meter run, while Lannom did the same in the pentathlon and 60-meter hurdles. Maddox Mayfield met the provisional in the 400-meter and Brynn Depinet exceeded the height needed in the pole vault.
In the mile, Hawkins finished fifth with a time of 4:47.35, which beat the provisional mark of 4:54.48. She was eighth in the 800 at 2:11.90 with 2:13.30 the time to beat. Hawkins' mile time is fifth among DII runners this season and the 800 time is eighth best.
Lannom scored 3,611 points to place third in the pentathlon. Her point total was 301 more than needed to meet the provisional mark. During the pentathlon competition her time of 8.65 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles was better than the standard of 8.79 seconds. Her performance in the pentathlon put her at No. 8 for the season and Lannom is 19th in the 60 hurdles.
Mayfield placed 10th in the 400 after stopping the clock at 56.00 seconds. Her time beat the provisional time of 56.50 and is No. 15 in DII.
Depinet cleared 3.85 meters to finish fourth in the pole vault invite and go over the provisional height of 3.72 meters. Her mark in the pole vault is the 10th-best of the season to date.
