FRIPP ISLAND, S.C. –The Lee University men's golf team came in third place at the Golfweek Fripp Island tournament to end the fall season. Billy Boroughs was the top finisher for the Flames coming in fourth place with a -4, 212. 
 
Florida Southern College won the tournament by eight strokes over Columbus State University. FSC had a three-round score of 845 (278-283-284). CSU had an final score of 853 (275-288-290).
 
Lee shot an 867 over the three rounds. In round one they had a 298. Round two had the second lowest round of any team in the tournament at 276. They followed it up with a 293 in round three.
 
Palmer Haynes of FSC won the individual title with a -9, 207. Boroughs for Lee was five shots back. He shot a 70-70-72 for a 212.
 
Tucker Wick was tied for 18^th at +3. He had a 219 (78-70-71). Tobias Buffam was tied for 31^st. He shot a 221 in the three rounds (78-66-77).
 
Jaxon Reed and Mitchell Strickland each shot +6 to come in 36^th. Reed's 222 was by 77-70-75 while Strickland had his 222 via a 73-74-75.
