JACKSON, Tenn. – For the second game in a row, Max Rode found the back of the net from the left side of the field for the Lee University men's soccer team. His goal was all Lee would get as they would earn a point in the Gulf South Conference standings with a tie at Union University 1-1 on Saturday.
Rode scored just ten minutes in off of a pass from Simpson Moore. Union found the equalizer in the 69
th minute on a shot by Lawson Harvey.
It was a very balanced game with both teams taking 16 shots. Lee had ten shots on goal and UU had nine. Both goalkeepers had eight saves as well. Charles Carriglitto for Lee and Patrick Schott each managed to turn away eight shots.
Lee had 14 fouls to just 10 for Union. The Bulldogs did have one yellow card.
