Daniel Prata enters his first year as a graduate assistant after playing for the Flames for five seasons (redshirting one). Prata posted a singles record of 36-18 and a doubles mark of 39-24. He was a member of the 2019 team that captured the program's first GSC Tournament victory.

“As a player, Daniel was extremely loyal and dedicated to his team.  I’m expecting that we will find more of the same attributes as a coach. He is going to continue to add great value to our men’s and women’s programs this year,” said Hynes. "I’m thrilled that Daniel will be sticking around for one more year to help our men’s and women’s program. His experiences as a player here will serve him in good stead for his transition into coaching and I’m excited to work with him this year.” 
  
The native of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, graduated in May 2020 with a degree in Actuarial Science. He is currently enrolled in Lee’s Master of Business Administration program.
