Ryland will work primarily with the Sprinters and Jumpers. In the past four seasons she has helped 15 Lee athletes qualify for NCAA Nationals, including eight that took home All-American honors in 14 different events. She was named the 2022 USTFCCCA South Region Men’s Indoor Track & Field Assistant Coach of the Year, after earning the same honor in 2018. Ryland was also selected South Region Assistant Coach of the Year in Women’s Outdoor Track & Field.

Ryland came to Lee bringing an impressive resume with her, focusing her attention on sprints and jumps. Ryland ran at Montgomery Junior College (Md.) and was a National Champion and All-American and school record-holder in the triple jump, long jump and 4x1. From there she went on to Montreat College (N.C.) where once again she was an All-American and National Champion while setting a school record in the triple jump. Showing her versatility as an athlete, Ryland also played basketball at Montgomery and Montreat.

Prior to coming to Lee Ryland was the Head Track Coach at Mt. Anthony Union High School in Bendington, Vermont. She also served as an Assistant Women's Basketball coach for Southern Vermont College.
