Dr. Jason Robinson

Dr. Jason Robinson is in his second year as the Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) for the Lee University Athletic Department. In addition to that role, he also serves as a faculty mentor for the Lee Baseball program.

Dr. Robinson began his teaching career in 1997 after graduating from Lee University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development with teacher certification. In 2000, he received a Master's degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. In 2010, Robinson received his doctoral degree from The University of Tennessee network in Leadership and Learning with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction.

Dr. Robinson's teaching experience is far-reaching. He has taught upper elementary grade levels, middle school, and university courses in teacher preparation.

Along with his wife, Dr. Robinson directs science camps throughout the year, both in the United States and abroad. He has had the opportunity to teach internationally in the countries of Argentina, Ecuador, Indonesia, South Africa, Nicaragua, Dubai, and South Korea. Jason and his family are also actively involved in mission work around the world. Additionally, Dr. Robinson has also had many opportunities to speak at leadership conferences and seminars in the United States, Ecuador, South Africa, South Korea, and Indonesia. He has a great passion for training future leaders that will impact the world in which we live.

Dr. Robinson is a local, state, and national award-winning educator, having appeared in a national advertising campaign that was featured in National Geographic, Better Homes and Gardens, Parenting, and Congressional Quarterly.

He was selected as the Tennessee Teacher of the Year Regional Winner, Bradley County Teacher of the Year (2001, 2011), Tennessee Science Teacher of the Year, Vision of Science Award Winner, Fitzgerald Award Winner for Excellence in Teaching, and was even recognized as one of twelve teachers nationwide for excellence in education. He has served as a NASA and Jet Propulsion Laboratory Solar System Ambassador and a Master Teacher for the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experimentation Mission. Additionally, he has also served on many advisory panels at the local and state level that focused on effective teaching practices, standardized assessments, and teacher education. Most recently, Dr. Robinson served on state and national grant teams that provide training for students and teachers in mathematics and science.

After serving 15 years in the public school system, Dr. Robinson made the jump to Lee where he currently teaches in the Helen DeVos College of Education. Since his arrival, he has played a very active role in academics, athletics, and student life. In 2018, Dr. Robinson received Lee University's "Excellence in Advising" award.

Dr. Robinson and his wife Faith, who is also an educator, reside in Cleveland with their family.
