Jack Rando joined the Lee University baseball coaching staff after gaining coaching experience at Vanderbilt University, where he served as a Volunteer Assistant Baseball Coach.
Rando spent the 2025 season at Vanderbilt, assisting with player development, practice organization, baseball strategy, scouting and recruiting. He worked directly with hitters and fielders while researching high school, MLB Draft, and transfer portal trends to assist with recruiting and roster development.
Prior to beginning his coaching career, Rando was a four-year starter at Belmont University, where he played 184 games and made 153 starts during his NCAA Division I career. He earned All-Missouri Valley Conference Honorable Mention Honor Honors in 2024. He was also ranked among the nation's top second basemen during the 2024 season.
Rando has worked as a private baseball skills instructor since 2019. He has trained players ranging from ages 5-18 and has developed individualized training and progression programs. He also previously served as an assistant coach with Hit City Select, working with hitters and fielders while handling third-base coaching responsibilities and developing practice and game plans.
A Tennessee native, Rando was part of a state championship team at Brentwood High School before continuing his playing career at Belmont. He graduated magna cum laude from Belmont in 2024 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and a minor in Sports Administration. He earned a Master of Education in Leadership and Organizational Performance from Vanderbilt University's Peabody College in December 2025.
