Zazzaro enters his third year as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Flames. This past season Thomas oversaw the first base coaching duties and worked with the infielders. The 2024 Flames won the Gulf South Conference (GSC) regular season championship, and advanced to the DII South Region Tournament losing to NCAA DII National champions Tampa University in the tournament’s final round.
 
Zazzaro enjoyed an outstanding playing career for the Flames. He is the team’s leader in walks with 144 and third all-time in assists with 402. He earned a spot on the GSC All-Tournament team and was named the tournament’s most outstanding player in 2022.

Coach Brew commented, “Thomas returns to lead our infield group in 2026. He was an excellent infielder in the Flames uniform, and he has been able to develop some top-notch infield defenses in his time as a coach in the program. He will assist with hitters and continue to contribute in an expanded role in 2026.”
