Lee University's Taylor Davis has been named the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA)  Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week.

Davis took home individual medalist honors and led the Flames to a 15-stroke victory in the team competition at the University of North Alabama TVA Credit Union Classic in Kileen, Ala. The junior from Brentwood carded a 10-under 206 total to win by nine strokes.

"I'm just really happy for Taylor in getting the medalist win this week," stated head coach John Maupin. "He is playing at a very high level and this was a dominating performance. He's a young man with a lot of talent, but he has worked very hard the past couple of seasons to get to this point. It's nice to see it all paying off for him."

Davis and the Flames are currently playing in the NCCAA National Tournament in Panama City, Fla. this week. Lee is hoping to repeat as national champions after winning the event last year.
