Lee women's track sprinter Adrian Martin garnered national attention this past week as she was named the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Student-Athlete of the Week after her performance at the 49th Tennessee Relays Powered by Sea Ray. The event was held at Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium on the campus of the University of Tennessee.

Martin placed fourth with a time of 24.36 in the 200 meter dash. Her time was 0.36 seconds quicker than her previous NCCAA-qualifying mark and gave her the best time in the NCCAA this season.  The sophomore from Marietta, Ga.  also finished 17th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.07.

Martin and the Lady Flames will gear up for their final tune-up meet before nationals. Lee will run at the Sewanee Invitational on Friday before traveling to Rome, Ga. and Shorter University for the NCCAA Outdoor Championship on Apr. 30-May 2.
