Jenna Adams has been named Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week. The sophomore forward guided the Lady Flames to two victories last week, including a huge home win against No. 24 Southern Poly to take over first place in the SSAC East. 

The native of Englewood, Tenn. began the week with a double-double performance at rival Tennessee Temple on Tuesday evening. Adams tallied 14 points, 10 rebounds and three steals in the 76-50 Lee victory.

Adams followed that up with a night every player dreams about on Thursday in a key SSAC East matchup with No.24 Southern Poly. The sophomore was on fire out of the gate and never looked back recording a career-high 41 points while pulling down 14 rebounds. Adams was 6-of-12 from behind the arc and a sizzling 15-of-22 from the field in the contest. Led by the hot shooting of their forward the Lady Flames posted a 82-61 victory.

On the year Adams is shooting 52 percent overall and 41 percent from 3-point distance.  The Lady Flames will be back in action for their final home game this Thursday as they host Truett-McConnell at 6 p.m. in Walker Arena.
