BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Lee point guard Haris Price was rewarded for helping the Lady Flames post wins over Valdosta State and West Florida by being named the Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week.
 
In Saturday's thrilling 85-82 victory over West Florida, Price had 24 points and five assists. Last Thursday the Gatlinburg native recorded nine assists, four points and three rebounds in directing Lee past visiting Valdosta State, 65-51. For the week she average 14 points and seven assists. Price shot 50 percent from the field (11-of-22).
 
"Haris played really well this past week and seems to be growing with confidence the more she plays," said coach Marty Rowe after learning about the reward. "She is becoming more and more comfortable with the things we're asking her to do on both ends of the court."
