BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Lee University junior Seth Eagleson is the Gulf South Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. It is the second time Eagleson has won the award this season.
Competing at the Royals XC Challenge, hosted by Queens University in Charlotte, N.C., Eagleson ran the second fastest 8K time for a GSC runner this season. The New Palestine, Ind. native’s time of 24:25.7 in the race also set a new Lee program record. Eagleson placed fifth in a field of over 350 runners and helped the No. 24 Flames to a first place team finish.
Eagleson and the Flames will set their sights on defending their GSC Championship on Oct. 22 at the Sharon Johnston Park in New Market, Ala.
