Men's basketball senior Rico Overall has been named the Lee University Male Athlete of the Week after guiding the Flames to a pair of victories over West Alabama and West Georiga.
Overall, a native Kennesaw, Ga., was the hero in Thursday's thrilling 77-75 double overtime victory over West Alabama. The Tigers owned a 65-62 lead with seven seconds remaining in the first OT when Overall saved the day for the Flames when he nailed a 25-foot triple to tie the score at 65, and then missed a free-throw that would have given the Flames a one-point advantage. The Tigers missed a long 3-pointer in their opportunity to pull out the win.

"Even when we were down five with under 30 seconds, our guys executed a side-out play and Rico hit a big shot to cut it to two. Â He followed that with another big shot and a chance to put us ahead at the free-throw line," Smith added.
The Flames finished off the win with a free throw from Overall to make it a two-point game with just seconds remaining.
On Saturday, Lee dominated from start to finish to post an 82-72 Senior Day victory. Overall finished with 10 points in the home finale.
The Flames will wrap up the season with a visit to West Florida on Thursday and Valdosta State on Saturday.
