Stevie Baird has been named the Lee University Female Athlete of the Week after leading the Lady Flames to a series victory over No. 5 Valdosta State over the weekend.
Baird finished the week hitting .444 in five games with three doubles and seven RBI.Â
As a team the Lady Flames swept a mid-week doubleheader from King University  on Wednesday, 3-0 and 9-1. Lee then took 2 of 3 from the Blazers winning in game one 6-1, falling in game two in 10 innings, 4-3 and clinching the series in game three, 13-6.
The sophomore from Goodletsville,Tenn., is currently hitting. 364 with 11 doubles, three home runs and 22 RBI. She is slugging at a .566 clip and has a .500 on base percentage from the leadoff spot.
Baird and the Lady Flames will welcome Trevecca Nazarene to town on Wednesday at 3 and 5:30 p.m. before traveling to West Alabama over the weekend for a GSC clash.
