Christian Noble made Lee University history with his performance on Saturday at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championship. With his 18th-place finish, Noble earned Lee's first NCAA DII All-America honor in cross country.
"We're really excited with Christian," said Lee head coach Caleb Morgan. "We've never had an All-American, since we joined Division II, in cross country and he's our first one. He did a great job asserting himself early."
The All-America lists were announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday. Athletes of member institutions who finished in the top-40 of this past weekend's NCAA DII Championship earned the honors.
"It was kind of a main goal going into this season," said Noble. "It's nice to finish the season off one the right foot."
Noble completed the final stretch of the cross country season as the GSC Champion, South Region Champion and capped the season with an All-America performance at the NCAA DII Championships.
